We try to keep it simple for you by having a single-rate cake price for you and including as much as we can in that price.

How to Determine the Number of Servings in a CakeNumber of servings (i.e.”per person”) per cake is determined by the Wilton Wedding Cake Chart, which can be viewed at http://www.wilton.com/wedding/wedding-cakes/wedding-cake-data.cfm . The couple should determine if they want “slightly more” or “slightly fewer” servings, based on the yields indicated on this chart. We will work with you for the most cost effective cake design.

Flavors and Fillings:
Our most popular cake flavors ordered by our brides are white, chocolate, red velvet, carrot, marble and lemon (in order by popularity). Note: Add'l flavors are available, such as pineapple, cherry, strawberry, and others. Ask us about your favorite!.

Rum Cake, White Chocolate Cake and other premium flavors are available for an additional $0.50/person.

Our most popular fillings ordered by our brides (again, in order by popularity) are white buttercream icing, red raspberry and chocolate fudge. Other flavors are available such as lemon, bavarian creme, apricot, pineapple, strawberry, Bananas Foster, apple, Dreamsicle and others

Please be aware that many cream cheese icings and/or fillings have a very short time span and cannot sit out unfrigerated. These are not recommended for outdoor receptions due to food safety issues.

Cake Pricing:
Our wedding cakes have a flat-per-serving-price of $3.50/serving for buttercream icing.  A bride can have multiple cake flavors, fillings and many basic designs, such as ribbon-wrapped, basketweave, scrollwork, and others at no extra charge.   
Add $1.00/serving for fondant accents or fondant covered cakes.

A Design Fee may be added for certain elaborate styles and designs.  We have tried to add a note to any cake photo that will have an extra design fee, and will discuss your design in depth at your sampling appointment.

  • (*)Price is subject to Indiana 7% Sales Tax and 2% Food and Beverage Tax, but there is NO service fee and NO gratuity requirement.

PLEASE NOTE: Frequently other cake providers do not supply serving ware, or it is simply overlooked. When that happens, the wedding party looks to us to help out. We are happy to come to the rescue, but we just can no longer afford to absorb the cost. Therefore, when your cake is provided by a source other than Cater It Simple, a (min) fee of $35.00 will be added to your buffet invoice for disposable plates and forks. This fee will be refunded if our tableware is not needed. (This does not apply to Drop-Off cakes.)
PLEASE NOTE: Due to logistic issues of collecting payment on a drop-off cake, payment for drop-offs must be made in full prior to the wedding date. We frequently drop off a cake with a balance due and (logically) find no bride or family member waiting at the country club with a check in their hand. Because of the simple logistics of a wedding day, we must have this policy in place to insure full payment.
